Define a compound event with regard to probability and show a few examples, such as the probability of drawing a spade and a 4 from a deck versus the probability of drawing a 3 or a queen.The first example shows mutually non exclusive events while the second shows mutually exclusive events. The formula and method for solving each will be listed on the board: p(4+ spade) and P(3) + p(queen). A few examples to solve each will be given.
