GT and I discussed the pages that he had read on his own. We then continued our study of the novel. We read and discussed using the study guide questions as a springboard for our discussion. I explained the double journal entry. I modeled how to use it as a response to the literature. I reviewed how to cite using proper MLA in-text citations. GT did his first double journal entry for the section that we had read in the novel.
