Lesson Topic
Zeta's First Piano Recital
Lesson Outline
We started our piano lesson as usual learning a new piece. Then when I played "Home on the Range" for Zeta to consider - it is the optional piece of music that I teach from the book - Ms. Judy came in and expressed how beautiful it was. The idea of playing for her and another student came up because Zeta needed the experience of playing for others. Eventually our audience grew and Zeta played her four songs for the small group. She performed very well. I was surprised at how well she controlled her nerves. Another mention is that there is another piano student that has heard Zeta play "Chimes" and today was his first attempt at playing it. He was amazing. Zeta made him love this piece and he performed it better than any other piece of music he has attempted. Zeta has decided not to play "Home on the Range". We only have two more songs, one of which will become another memorized piece of music,

Lesson Comments
Ms. Judy, so glad that you gave us the opportunity to perform for you, Indigo and Mr. Carl. Zeta needed this experience. It proves to her what she really knows and what she needs to work on. The sharing of her musical talent is invaluable and we hope that she will continue to play for others.
