The lesson outline from last week was finally accomplished. This study of solids included shape and volume, crystal solid structure shown through diagrams and photomicrographs, the meaning and determination of density, as well as the comparisons of densities among different solids, and the meaning of those differences. Factors which affect density, temperature and pressure were discussed. The density of water as a liquid and solid along with specific gravity determination and meaning was discussed.
