Sebastian first reviewed the days of the week and practiced correct pronunciations. We then reviewed some introductory phrases and vocabulary words, and I was delighted that when asked how he was, in French, Sebastain responded "ca va bien' (things are going well) without skipping a beat. We then turned to DuoLingo - the French app. I installed it on my phone as Sebastian had trouble accessing it today for some reason. We started on a beginning lesson and Sebastian did very well, even doing an extra challenge. His only error was due to his speed of response matching "Je" to I, and he readily accepted and did well on the challenge bonus round, successfully progressing to the next level when it was time for our session to end. Sebastian seems comfortable and is amenable working with me on some topics and activities suggested as we move forward in conversational French.
