Lesson Outline
Sebastian engaged in a robust game of Noodles after Ms. Judie asked how it was played. We had a hysterical time playing for a while. When I wanted to log onto Duo Lingo, Sebastian explained that he did not have the password to log onto the app. We began noting commonalities between French and English by discussing root words. For example, we noted how similar the word dommage (noun) is to the English equivalent damage - and that 'C'est dommage' translated means it is a pity. Sebastian. We reviewed some prior words, and Ms. Judie noted her name is similar to a day of the week, and he remembered 'jeudi,' which was a good venue to refresh our recall of salutations. We discussed how the salutation for Mrs. is Madame and reviewed the greetings for Miss and Mister- titles that are used before surnames or full names as a sign of respect, which are abbreviated Mlle, Mme, and Mr. Sebastian is comfortable with me and said he is happy when he sees he has me on his schedule; I was pleased and honored to hear this.
