Session Date
Lesson Topic
Collecting/organizing data
Lesson Outline
In this morning's session, Jonathan gained practice determining the sorting rule and classification attributes in examples provided, and comparing data. He answered questions about the data which required analysis of the information provided and computational skills. Jonathan was asked to make comparisons based on the data presented to ensure he understands the concept of more and fewer. He discussed the strategies he used to solve the problems, which indicates that he understands the meaning in data displays rather than just seeing an assemblage of pictures or numbers.

Lesson Comments
At recess, Jonathan slipped while climbing a curved rung ladder on the playground. He hit his upper right thigh against the rungs and bruised it. It must have hurt because he was crying. We gave him an ice pack and I texted mom. I explained what happened and that I would write an incident report. She was fine and asked if he could go to golf later. When asked, Jonathan asked to resume playing for the rest of recess, and said he'd be okay to play golf. I explained this to mom and she arrived on time to pick him up. I filed an incident report - with Cal and mom's signature at the end of the day when she came to pick him up.
