Review exothermic reactions, show examples. Define and discuss with examples endothermic reactions. Explain why the taking in of heat makes the reaction colder. Explain the term rate, and that it involves time. Discuss slow rate reactions and fast reactions, using everyday examples. Discuss factors which change the rate of reaction; temperature and concentration.
