A review of the term rate as it applies to chemical reactions started the class. The collision theory of chemical reactions was briefly discussed, and the effect of temperature, as covered previously, was reinforced. The effect of concentration on rate was explained, and reinforced using a shared video which reinforced the concept by showing reactions under differing concentrations of reactants. Some of the reactions were previously done in our lab. The effect of particle size was also demonstrated in speeding up the rate of a reaction. All The factors were then outlined for her notes.
