Lesson Topic
electric fields
Lesson Outline
The electric field force was compared to the type of force seen by gravity or magnetism, a force at a distance. The field surrounds a charge and is a vector quantity. The magnitude can be measured by the effect it has on a test charge, along with the direction of the field. The effect of charge size on the field was shown and related to Coulomb's law, as well as the inverse square rule regarding the distance between charges and the force.
