Today we learned about the 1918 flu pandemic that overlapped with WWI. We focused on what happened to the during the 1918 pandemic. Although the pandemic spread throughout the U.S., we used Philadelphia as a case study as it may have been the hardest hit American city. In today's current events, we discussed coronavirus responses in North America, the Swedish response to the pandemic, the legacy of an "unsinkable battleship," and virtual graduation fun.
