Lesson Outline
Zeta's lesson began with a review of polyhedrons and their attributes. We looked at how to classify and describe different prisms and pyramids by their properties and how to classify three-dimensional figures with curved surfaces that are not polyhedrons. Then, we looked at how solid figures can be "unfolded" to form two-dimensional models of the figures. The surface area of the solid figure could then be found by the sum of the areas of the flat surfaces. Zeta and I applied the surface area formulas to different prisms, pyramids, and cylinders.
