I projected an exercise I prepared on avoiding the "is when" construction as well as avoiding beginning each sentence with the word"When". I explained steps to reword sentences followed by Yanuell completing a short rewriting exercise applying these steps. We then logged into the IXL program and worked on eliminating redundancies in writing. We focused on finding words in sentences that duplicate in meaning prior words or phrases and eliminating them. Yanuell then completed an IXL exercise on rewriting sentences by eliminating redundancies. His work was very impressive.
