Intro to Economics
Lesson Outline
GT spent a significant amount of time outside of class answering questions and finding supporting articles/current events on multiple Economics topics.
We then used our time together during our last class to present his answers and findings in order to exemplify his understanding of the concepts.
Topics included:
- Consumerism
- Division of Labor
- Socio-economic Segregation
- Indicators of a "Healthy" Economy (i.e. GDP, Unemployment, and the Business Cycle)
- International Trade/Interdependence
- Tariffs
- Public vs Private Goods...
He did a great job researching the topics and explaining what they are as well as how they apply to our current US economy and how they'd apply to a potential, future business that he might own/run.
