Audubon bird paintings
Lesson Outline
Introduce the artist John James Audubon and his goal to paint every bird in North America. We played a guessing game with Jonathan to have him learn how Audubon traveled across land and water, posed real birds, and published his portfolio of birds in the 1800's. Choose a bird photo and draw and color it.

Lesson Comments
Jonathan said he really loves Kingfishers. So, he researched on his Ipad for the photo he wanted to draw. Because he can spell and read so well, he easily surfs around the internet for information. He's an amazing child!
