Ayden did not do his homework because he wasn't feeling well last night. To begin, he wrote a sentence for each vocabulary word. He previewed the short answer questions for Chapter 8, and then we co-read the chapter, pausing peridically for Ayden to answer the questions.

I explained to Ayden that he will be held accountable for not doing his homework; if he doesn't do it, he gets a zero. Furthermore, we will get through much less material if he isn't reading outside of the classroom.
