Lesson Outline
Given 5 pictures, Richard did well identifying the picture with a subtle difference. We continue to practice reading and writing the sight word 'the'. Richard correctly determined and wrote the letter of the initial sound of given pictures. He did well reading three letter, short a words. Rhyming was reviewed. Richard enjoyed a cut and paste activity that involved categorizing pictures by whether they rhymed with cat or pan. Richard is improving in his ability to write the number 2. We went over the date and day of the week. We continue to practice reciting the days of the week. Richard was tasked with identifying the written number, on a 100 chart grid, that he heard verbally. We will continue to work on number identification. He enjoyed an activity in which he rolled a dice, wrote the number of dots, made tally marks for that number and then filled in a ten frame for the rolled number. Richard was attentive and cooperative throughout the hour.
