Lesson Outline
Richard worked on writing capital B and R, as well as the numbers 3 and 4. We continue to practice sight words. After hearing a word, Richard did well determining the initial (and, subsequently the final) sound and name of the letter and then wrote the letter. He was tasked with repeating sentences, copying the expression and then determining the amount of words in the sentence. Given two words, Richard confidently determined if the words rhymed. We reviewed all the capital letters. We continue to practice number recognition. Additionally, Richard worked on categorizing items by different attributes. He also practiced determining which item did not belong in the set.

I was scheduled with Richard from 9:30-10:30 for both math and reading. Recess is at 10:00. I believe recess is important and that a 6 year old boy needs recess. However, Richard needs more time to work on reading and math to be able to complete the kindergarten curriculum.
