Richard did well identifying the elements of fantasy and real life. He enjoyed listening to a 'Corduroy' book and was able to correctly sequence the story. We continue to work on determining if two words rhyme, identifying and writing the initial and final sound of given words, and determining the words in a sentence. Today, we also worked on blending, segmenting and deleting parts of compound words. Richard is quite pleased with the 'Pokemon' book he is writing and will complete it tomorrow. The positions of top, middle, bottom, inside and outside were practiced with manipulatives. Addition up to the sum of five using manipulatives was also practiced. Richard asked to close his eyes and mark spots on a hundred chart and then read the number marked.
