Lesson Outline
Sight words were reviewed. Richard was pleased to read (using words and pictures), 'Can I?'. He created another page for his own 'I Can' book. We continue to practice blending consonant-short a-consonant words. Richard did well determining if two words rhyme, naming the first and last sound and letter in a word and segmenting and blending compound words. He practiced writing numbers 0-5, adding numbers to the sum of 5 and putting numbered cards in the correct order from 0-10. Manipulatives were used to work on the concept of before and after. Additionally, the concepts of greater than and less than were introduced with manipulatives.
