Lesson Outline
Richard did well matching words that contain the short a sound with their corresponding pictures. We continue to practice identifying letters, words and sentences in print, as well as pointing to the title, author and illustrator of a book. Richard enjoyed listening to a story, answering literal questions related to setting and sequence and making predictions. He did well writing a number equation for pictures that illustrated addition. Richard successfully completed patterns, both with manipulatives and on paper. We played a timed game in which Richard was tasked with reading as many one-digit numbers as he could in 2 minutes.
