We discussed what a veteran is, why Veteran's Day is celebrated and the five branches of the armed forces. Cabo was tasked with filling in the missing words in a text about Veteran's Day. He wrote an acrostic poem utilizing the word veteran. Additionally, we watched CNN10 which delivered news on the progress for a coronavirus vaccine, information about Tropical Storm Eta and the controversy around prescribed or controlled burning. The news and its impact was discussed.
