Hank and I began our session with a MadLibs, "A Family Roadtrip," focusing on parts of speech. We then discussed and took notes on writing body paragraphs and the parts of a body paragraph (topic sentence, details, closing). Now that we have reviewed what is included in our body paragraphs, we will continue his body paragraph two in his opinion essay during our next session. We watched a video on acrostic poems, learning the definition. We then began working on an acrostic poem for the word, turkey (for Thanksgiving).
