Richard enjoyed reading short vowel words and then finding and coloring a picture of the words within a forest scene. We continue to practice rhyming, identifying initial and final sounds, and blending, segmenting and deleting syllables. Richard read a short, paper book that consisted of one syllable, short vowel words and sight words. He did well sounding out words when writing sentences dictated to him. Richard is adding one-digit numbers more quickly. He did well sequencing daily activities. We continue to work on counting by tens.
