Lesson Outline
Richard worked on writing the letters C and O using proper sizing. He benefits from encouragement to write more slowly. He did well reading short vowel words and circling the corresponding picture. We continue to practice rhyming, identifying the initial and final sound, and blending, segmenting and deleting syllables. Richard worked hard to read a repetitive story entitled, 'Gus and Mom'. Ten frames were introduced. Given a clock with missing numbers, Richard confidently filled in the correct numbers. He really enjoyed a game of 'Connect Four' addition which encouraged Richard to utilize the counting on strategy when one-digit numbers.
