Lesson Outline
After conversation and brainstorming, Ayden and I chose to read Looking for Alaska by John Greene. It is a "coming of age" story about a boy from Florida who leaves home to attend boarding school. We co-read most of chapter one, pausing to discuss the characters and the setting. I am hopeful that this book will resonate with Ayden.
