Lesson Outline
Sadee enjoyed going on a 'letter and sound hunt'. Given letters, Sadee had fun looking around the school for objects that began with the specific letters and then writing the letters. She practiced writing her name and letters I, U, E and T. Sadee used the dry erase markers to practice reading and writing words in the -ig family. We read, 'What this Story Needs is a Pig in a Wig' together. Sadee read all the -ig, -at and ap family words. She did well on a cut and paste activity that involved gluing the correct initial letter to -ig to name given pictures. Additionally, Sadee practiced reading and writing numbers 0-19.
