Richard read a story that introduced the -ar sound. He was tasked with writing answers to questions about the passage. He did well completing a cut and paste activity involving reading, writing and matching pictures with words with the long a sound. Richard wrote in his journal about what he hopes to get for his birthday. We continue to work on proper sizing and spacing of letters. Richard earned a 100% on the second half of the measurement assessment. We continue to practice adding and subtracting single digit numbers and reading and identifying numbers 0-100. Given different combinations of pennies and nickels, Richard did well determining the monetary value.
