Richard practiced rhyming, determining intial and final sounds and phoneme manipulation involving digraphs. He was tasked with choosing the word that named the picture with the long a sound. Richard did well reading a passage and writing the answers. He drew a picture and wrote about a water slide in his journal. Skip counting by fives was introduced. Richard practiced determining the monetary value of a group of pennies, nickels and dimes by skip counting. He did well with the concepts of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Richard counted 100 beans.
