Today, Christopher and I did a complete fraction review with him completing a few practice problems from each of our recent lessons, on the whiteboard. First, we did a fraction vocabulary review on the parts of a fractions, names for the types of fractions, and operations with fractions. Then, Christopher ordered fractions from least to greatest using fractions strips, compared fractions with cross multiplication, found equivalent fractions using multiplication or division, simplified fractions with division, and converted mixed numbers and improper fractions. We finished with adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators.
