Landforms
Lesson Outline
In today's session, we reviewed different types of landforms. Ben was interested in learning that a butte is a tall, flat-topped steep sided tower or rock, and learned how they were created. We viewed images and noted that they are taller than they are wide. We viewed 'The Mittens', in Utah, an arid area that has the most famous buttes in the world. It was interesting to note that they are called the mittens because the two butte landforms look as if they have rocky thumbs facing one another.
