Lesson Outline
Richard enjoyed listening to 'Ground Hog Gets A Say'. Print and plot elements were identified and discussed. Richard worked hard on sentence dictation. We continue to work on letter and word spacing. He confidently and correctly wrote numbers dictated. Richard looked at pictures and read words to determine if the vowel sound was long or short. Given two sets of objects, Richard was tasked with identifying which was more/less likely to be chosen based on the number of items in each set. He did very well on a graphing activity, as well as on a spiral practice of learned math skills. Calendar skills were reviewed. Richard enjoyed working on the concepts of more, less and same, playing a memory game and matching numerals with number words online.
