Matthew was led through a discussion in Spanish. He did a great job responding at least 33% of the time in Spanish. His comprehension of spoken Spanish continues to grow.

He then led us through a review of the last class. Every part of his review was said in Spanish though he did say some of ideas in English first. He is consistently speaking more Spanish.

We took a quiz on Spanish vocabulary for the week.

He then did a translation of the text that we prepped yesterday. We prepared a new section of text for the next class. We discussed how much of this work is done by those creating the curriculum in Spanish 1 and 2 but how the responsibility will continue to shift towards him as he approaches college Spanish and Spanish outside the classroom.

These skills will prepare him to be successful in the language independent of where he goes from here.
