Lesson 3 Physical and Chemical Changes: We learned how to identify a physical or chemical change of matter. We discovered that combinations of atoms in original matter are rearranged to make new types of matter. Then we learned how temperature influences chemical changes. Next we learned that physical changes are easily reversed while chemical changes are not. We learned that when odors, gases, and heat or light is created there is usually a chemical change.
Assignment: Match the physical properties of matter with their descriptions. Identify when substances would undergo a physical or chemical change.
