We reviewed and scored Bella's Chap. 18 take-home test and she did a wonderful job, scoring 90% - an A-! Areas for improvement involve essay writing. Bella is not very comfortable writing in the 3rd person. We discussed that writing answers or essays for history and other social science classes requires thought, analysis, formulation of a good thesis and incorporation of examples and facts to support the thesis. A solid conclusion should follow. Bella is totally capable of this. We will continue to work on Bella's expository writing skills throughout the course.
