Matthew typed the paragraphs that he wrote last class using the MS Word program.

He was then shown how to change the editing language of the program so that he could get feedback on his errors from the program.

Then, we went through each of the errors that the computer identified one by one. We discussed the error and why the computer proposed the solution that it did. His paper still has some issues but is much improved. We highlighted how writing in a foreign language is like writing in English in that it is a process.

Matthew then chose between 3 writing prompts.

He chose to write a recipe for a dish that he likes to cook. He wrote a recipe for cooking eggs. As per the prompt, he included the required parts such as ingredients and directions (conjugated in the formal command form).
