This morning, Dane and I reviewed his homework before he completed a warm-up on comparing angles, multi-digit multiplication, subtraction, and addition problems, finding the volume, long division, and decimals. Then, our lesson began the unit with basic geometry ideas. Dane and I discussed points, lines, planes, line segments, rays, and how to describe line types as parallel, intersecting, or perpendicular. We reviewed how to draw, say, and write each of these and how to recognize them in geometric drawings. Dane completed correlating problems from his textbook, using the diagram's letters to describe these geometric terms.
