Today, we started class by working on a 15 minute sketch. Kaitlin had an idea for what she wanted to draw, so she didn't use a prompt. We then used the last thirty minutes of class to start brainstorming ideas for her rubber print project. We went over examples of successful prints, looked at professional rubber stamps and reviewed some famous block prints from Japan.
