I lined up Santino's food options and utensils and asked him to select his thermos from the array. After I opened the lid, Santino reached for the spoon, prompted to identify it, and began eating his pureed lunch quite enthusiastically. He has improved his eye-hand coordination but was prompted to eat at a slower pace today. Santino did not want to eat his Little Bites snack but requested Fruit Loops and drank from his water bottle. Santino additionally requested and consumed an organic nutritional shake today just prior to leaving. He drank it out of his bottle this afternoon, but I plan to encourage to drink from a cup the next time. He was afforded praise for using longer sentences when requesting food or drink, and this will continue to be reinforced to expand his language repertoire.
