Atticus and I continued to prepare for the unit test that he will take at the end of this week. Today, we reviewed how to divide decimals and multiply fractions. Atticus worked independently to solve each type of problem and was assigned the remainder of the practice problems for homework. Our lesson expanded on dividing fractions to include dividing mixed numbers. Together, we solved example problems by changing mixed numbers to improper fractions, using the keep, switch, and flip phrase, multiplying straight across, and changing the improper fractions to mixed numbers. Atticus will continue to work on these problems tomorrow.
