Atticus and I started off class by studying Frida Khalo and Picasso self-portraits and portraits. We discussed how they used color and what we think those colors are trying to convey. Using a photo reference, Atticus started his self-portrait by printing out his image and using carbon paper to transfer it onto the drawing paper.
