Jaydn and I discussed her former English classes and I informed her about the IXL Diagnostic Assessment. Jaydn has never taken the IXL diagnostic test which is an adaptive assessment tool to allow us to know her grade-level for reading and for overall and specific knowledge in language arts. It takes about an hour to complete. Jaydn seemed interested and attentive and communicated more with me auditorily. I encouraged her to turn on her camera, and we discussed the possible consequences of her procrastinating on doing so. Jaydn readily agreed to complete the diagnostic as a homework assignment.
