Atticus and I worked together on last night's homework which he struggled with. We reviewed how to solve multiplication and division equations using the properties of equality, the rules of positive and negative numbers, reciprocals, and how to isolate variables. After our review, Atticus understood the material more clearly and completed numerous homework problems independently. Then, we began the next lesson on solving equations with fractions and decimals. We completed the real-world examples together and Atticus was assigned the practice problems for homework.
