Lesson Outline
Joshua didn't do very well on the Unit 5 Progress Check he completed for HW recently. He got 20 out of 27 M/C questions correct (that's 74%). His written response question score was 1/5. It was missing solid contextualization, evidence to support an argument. Overall, Joshua's analysis and reasoning should be stronger on these AP written responses. We will review this more in depth in class tomorrow. Also, Joshua knows he may access my comments in his AP Central classroom and I recommended he take a look at them last night, prior to our class today. We began to explore the new unit on Imperialism from 1750-1950 today. We explored the terms Social Darwinism, Eugenics and the racism used as a rationale for the colonization of lands in Asia, Africa and Oceania for imperialist actions. We reviewed this topic and practiced the AP skill on contextualization through AP Central in class today.
