Lesson Topic
Using synthetic division to completely factor polynomials
Lesson Outline
I reviewed with Matthew how to completely factor a cubic polynomial when one factor is known. We also reviewed the processes of synthetic division and substitution.
After the review, I introduced Matthew to the rational zero theorem which helps students generate possible zeros of polynomials. We did a few examples of these.
