Lesson Topic
Systems of Linear Equations
Lesson Outline
We reviewed the three types of solutions for systems of linear equations with two variables to prepare for a test tomorrow. When the lines are parallel they have no points in common so there is no solution to this system. When the lines intersect they have one point in common so there is one solution to the system. When the two linear equations give the same line because they are the same line, there are infinitely many solutions. Next we looked at several systems of linear equations and determined whether there was one solution, no solution, or infinitely many solutions.
