After the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy, Americans were shocked and bereft. One of the events that helped America and the world deal with their sorrow was the landing of the Beatles just over 2 months later in NYC. The Beatles first appeared on American television in Feb., 1964. We watched a brief clip of this. We will continue to examine how the Beatles change with the times and how they change the times. We will see that music and musical movements may often have a tremendous impact on history.
