Chapter 8 Exponents and Scientific Notation
Lesson Outline
8.6 Scientific Notation – We learned to use scientific notation to express very large and very small quantities. We understand that the decimal must be greater than or equal to one and less than 10. Then we learned what constitutes a significant figure so we don’t exaggerate the accuracy of our results. Next we practiced adding and subtracting numbers in scientific notation.
