Atticus and I continued to work on relating customary and metric units. He is struggling with these conversions because most of them are approximate and not exact conversions with all answers required to be rounded to the nearest tenth. We reviewed how to set up problems using dimensional analysis, multiplying by the conversion factor, and dividing out the common units. Atticus practiced setting up problems using this strategy and used the given unit equivalency tables to help with conversions.
