Ben had a Chapter 2 Test today. He had just arrived when I was already in his room ready to start. He asked me if he could have 10 minutes before he began his test. I allowed it. He set a timer for himself, set up, grabbed a snack, and read some articles that he shared with me. When the timer went off, he was ready to work. He began working his test, explaining his thought process out loud. He wasn't confident he was doing it right, but he was, so I encouraged him to trust his instincts. He continued to work up until the bell rang. He did not finish the test, so he will finish next class.
